First, the delegation held discussions with the DPIIT, the key agency overseeing India's startup policy, on establishing an Indian pavilion at the annual Startup Festival 'COMEUP 2025' held in Seoul and revitalizing Korea-India startup exchanges.

During the meeting with the India Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, they shared information on policy support, funding, and technological innovation for small and medium enterprises, and explored collaboration possibilities for Korean corporations to enter the Indian market and participate in support programs for Indian small and medium enterprises.

The delegation also visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi), the top engineering school in India, to check the current status of operations related to recruitment of outstanding software talent.

Jo Gyeong-won, the Director General of Startup Policy at the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups, said, “This visit to India was an opportunity to achieve concrete connections and collaborations in the Korea-India startup ecosystem, beyond government-level small and medium enterprises, venture, and startup diplomacy,” and noted, “We will establish a comprehensive cooperation system in terms of policy, infrastructure, and talent for the global co-growth of startups in both countries.”
