Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on the 31st that it has completed an additional second hangar for aircraft flight tests and more.

According to KAI, the second hangar has a ground area of 33,146 square meters (about 10,020 pyeong) and is a single-story structure that includes six hangars capable of accommodating up to two KF-21 aircraft, as well as an aircraft taxiway, offices, and an equipment storage room. The construction was completed on the 20th.

KAI plans to establish additional advanced production infrastructure related to fixed-wing aircraft, along with a 'Rotary Wing Dynamic Center (Dynamic Center - tentative name)' for the development and production of rotary wing power transmission systems at the site of the new second hangar.

KAI President Kang Goo-young said, "The development and mass production of the KF-21 are actively underway, and securing storage space for T-50 series export aircraft has been essential. I hope that the completion of this new hangar will enhance customer trust through stable aircraft deliveries and quality management."
