As of the 28th, the areas declared special disaster zones by the government due to the recent wildfires include eight locations: Andong City, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, Yeongdeok, Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, and Sancheong, Hadong in Gyeongnam, along with Uljin in Ulsan. Once designated as a special disaster area, 50% to 80% of the restoration costs for damages to public facilities and private property can be supported by national funds. Support such as reductions in national and local government tax payments is also possible.
