Kia announced on the 28th that it will rebrand its shared mobility service "Wible Biz" to "Kia Biz."
Launched in 2021, Wible Biz is an environmentally friendly car-sharing service that allows individuals, corporations, and institutions to subscribe to vehicles and use them for work purposes during business hours and for commuting or weekend leisure at other times.
Kia Biz will operate as the same service as the existing Wible Biz while adding hybrids to the available vehicle types to continuously provide new mobility experiences.
As part of this rebranding, Kia Biz has transitioned from a separate brand to Kia's brand system. It has been incorporated into Kia's mobility service system, which provides consistent brand experiences across various mobility services such as "Kia Flex" and "Kia Rent-a-Car."
The vehicle monthly subscription service "Kia Flex," introduced for the first time in South Korea in June 2019, has steadily expanded its vehicle lineup and operational scale, and last year launched a used car subscription product called "Lite Subscription" that can be used at a reasonable price, thereby increasing options.
"Kia Rent-a-Car" is the only car rental service directly operated by a complete car manufacturer in the country, responsible for the entire process from vehicle consultation to registration, insurance, and maintenance, offering customized products and differentiated benefits such as waiver of re-rental penalties tailored to various customer groups from individuals to corporations.
To celebrate this brand reorganization, Kia will conduct a joint promotion spanning from April to June that encompasses three mobility services: "Kia Biz-Kia Flex-Kia Rent-a-Car." During the promotional period, Kia Biz weekend usage tickets will be available at a 30% discounted price, and if a Kia Biz customer subscribes to Kia Flex, they will receive a 50,000 won discount on their first month's subscription fee, while Kia Rent-a-Car customers who subscribe to Kia Flex will receive a 100,000 won discount on their first month's subscription fee.
Additionally, for customers waiting for Kia Rent-a-Car deliveries, they will be allowed to use Kia Flex vehicles at no extra charge during the waiting period, at the same rate as the rental contract, and customers using electric vehicles from Kia Flex will receive a 300,000 won discount on the first month's rental fee if they newly contract Kia Rent-a-Car.
