The roundtable was organized to share cases where smart technology contributed to improving worker working conditions and health, as the use of AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), and robotic technologies in industrial sites has been increasing.

POSCO presented cases of robotic and smart protective equipment technology at this roundtable. Notably, technology was introduced for an autonomous four-legged robot to diagnose and inspect equipment at steelworks with limited accessibility and gather data to detect abnormal situations.

In addition, an integrated solution for hearing protection equipment that applies IoT noise measurement technology to measure sound pressure and frequency was also introduced. It features noise elimination based on situations, and the capability for long and short-distance conversations among workers, enabling communication even while wearing earplugs.

POSCO is pushing for evolution into an 'Intelligent Factory,' an intelligent autonomous manufacturing process through collaboration among people, AI, and robots, going beyond traditional smart factories. In this process, it aims to lead the development and application of digital innovation technologies in the field of industrial health, creating a people-centered safe workplace.
