Solus Advanced Materials announced on the 26th that it has signed a secondary battery foil supply contract with European electric vehicle battery manufacturer ACC (Automotive Cells Company).
ACC is an electric vehicle battery manufacturer established as a joint venture by the U.S.-Italian Stellantis, German Mercedes-Benz, and France's leading energy company TotalEnergies, through its battery subsidiary Saft. It is currently operating its first gigafactory, completed in France in 2023. The company aims to achieve an annual battery production capacity of 120 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in Europe by 2030.

The order volume will be applied to electric vehicle batteries produced by ACC in Europe. The supplied product is a high-end foil with thin thickness and high-strength characteristics, showcasing Solus Advanced Materials' latest technology. It will be exclusively supplied to global original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
Solus Advanced Materials currently operates the only foil production facility in Europe, 'Volta Energy Solutions Hungary.'
Kwak Geun-man, CEO of Solus Advanced Materials, said, "I am very pleased to establish a continuous partnership with ACC through this secondary supply contract. This will play an important role in strengthening our competitiveness in the global market and expanding our base." He added, "We will continue to do our best to provide value that exceeds customer expectations."
