POSCO Group announced on the 26th that it will provide disaster relief funds of 2 billion won for the recovery from wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.
To support the recovery and assistance of disaster victims in the regions of Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, which have recently been designated as special disaster areas due to wildfires, POSCO Group has gathered together, centered around POSCO Holdings, with POSCO, POSCO INTERNATIONAL, POSCO Engineering & Construction, POSCO FUTURE M, and POSCO DX to donate 2 billion won to the "Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association." The funds will be used for emergency relief and recovery in the wildfire-affected areas, as well as for providing daily necessities and ensuring safe housing for the displaced.
In addition, POSCO Group will produce and provide "emergency relief kits for wildfire-affected residents," consisting of essential living items such as hygiene products, blankets, and emergency food supplies for the disaster victims in the Gyeongbuk area, where the headquarters of major operating companies like POSCO Holdings and POSCO are located.
