On the 26th, LG reported that it donated 2 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea to help residents affected by recent wildfires in the Yeongnam region. The donated funds are intended for recovery efforts in wildfire-hit areas and support for displaced individuals.

An LG official said, “We want to help the residents of the affected areas, who have lost their homes and are suffering due to this sudden disaster, to return to their daily lives as quickly as possible by assisting in the rapid recovery from the damages.”

LG affiliates have also begun to help residents affected by the wildfires.

LG Electronics will support the temporary shelter with home appliances such as air purifiers, and it will operate mobile service centers for free repairs of damaged appliances.

LG H&H plans to provide essential daily items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash worth 500 million won for the displaced individuals.

LG Uplus will operate battery charging vehicles and provide temporary Wi-Fi services to support relief activities in the areas of Sangcheong and Hadong in Gyeongnam Province, as well as Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk Province. Additionally, it will support child care at the disaster site by providing children's kits consisting of coloring books and toys, while also working with the Animal Freedom Alliance on initiatives to assist the pets of displaced individuals.
