Kang Seok-jin, the president of the Korea Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (KOSME), noted on the 26th that "we will actively support corporations in the aerospace sector that possess outstanding technology to grow into global companies."
On that day, Kang visited Space Solutions, a specialized corporation in aerospace components located in Daejeon, to inspect the site and made these remarks.
Space Solutions is a corporation with technological capabilities in the aerospace and precision manufacturing sectors and has been participating in the Korean space launch vehicle "Nuri" project since 2010, developing related valves, tanks, and thrust vector control systems.
In 2023, it was selected as the first investment target for the domestic "space seed fund," and has recently been pushing for entry into the overseas satellite component market and expansion of cooperation with global aerospace corporations.
On that day, Kang toured the production facilities and research and development (R&D) sites of the corporations, confirming key technologies and products, and discussed strategies for entering the global market and support measures from KOSME.
Kang said, "The aerospace industry is a representative future new industry, and the current level of domestic technology is steadily developing, so further leaps in the future are even more anticipated."
