Hanwha Vision announced on the 25th that it has appointed Kim Ki-cheol as the new CEO.
CEO Kim graduated from the Department of Economics at Chungnam National University and completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Sungkyunkwan University and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in the United States.
CEO Kim joined Hanwha Group in 1995 and has held positions including management diagnostic team member at Hanwha, head of the management planning team at Hanwha Vision, president of the U.S. subsidiary of Hanwha Vision, and head of sales and marketing at Hanwha Vision.
CEO Kim is regarded as a leading "strategist" within the group. He contributed to expanding global market share while serving as president in the United States, which is the main stage for Hanwha Vision, for five years.
Hanwha Vision plans to expand customized services, including artificial intelligence (AI) packs applicable to various industrial sites such as manufacturing and retail.
CEO Kim will also serve as the CEO of Hanwha Semitek, a subsidiary, just like his predecessor. Hanwha Semitek recently began mass production of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) TC bonding and joined the NVIDIA supply chain.
CEO Kim said, "While enhancing competitiveness in key areas, I will also strive to discover future growth drivers that can serve as new sources of revenue."
