HD Hyundai announced on the 25th that it will support local residents and recovery efforts in areas affected by wildfires, including Ulsan Ulju, Gyeongnam Sancheong, and Gyeongbuk Uiseong, with a donation and relief supplies worth 1 billion won.
The HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation donated 700 million won to disaster relief organizations across the country, and HD Hyundai affiliates decided to provide 300 million won worth of relief supplies. HD Hyundai's construction equipment affiliate, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Infracore plan to jointly support excavators and manpower for recovery efforts in the wildfire-affected areas. On the same day, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also provided 1,500 lunch boxes to officials engaged in firefighting operations in the Ulsan area.
Kwon Oh-gap, chairman of the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation, said, "We will do our best to support recovery activities so that residents affected by the wildfire can return to a peaceful and normal life as soon as possible."
