Hyundai Motor Company and Kia sold 73,294 units in Europe in February, a decrease of 7.4% compared to the same month last year, according to data compiled on the 25th.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), Hyundai Motor Company sold 37,210 units in Europe last month, while Kia sold 36,084 units. This represents a decrease of 7.2% and 7.7% from last year, respectively. Hyundai's market share in Europe stands at 3.9%, and Kia's at 3.7%, both down 0.2 percentage points compared to last year. This is the fourth rank following the Volkswagen Group, Stellantis Group, and Renault Group.

The main models sold by Hyundai Motor Company were 7,724 Tucson units, 5,506 Kona units, and 4,602 i20 units. Kia sold 9,485 Sportage units, 6,887 Ceed units, and 5,063 EV3 units. In terms of eco-friendly vehicles, such as hybrids and electric cars, the Kia EV3 was the best-seller, followed by Hyundai's 4,880 Tucson units, 4,621 Kona units, and 3,490 Kia Niro units.

In January and February, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia's cumulative sales in the European market totaled 156,526 units, a decrease of 5.5% compared to the same period last year. The combined market share is 8.0%, down 0.3 percentage points.

Meanwhile, the total sales in the European new car market last month were 963,540 units, a decrease of 3.1% compared to the same month last year, and the cumulative sales from January to February this year were 1,959,580 units, down 2.6% compared to the same period last year.
