Asiana Airlines will operate mileage-dedicated flights on routes to the United States starting in April. A total of six mileage-dedicated flights are planned on the gold routes of Incheon to Los Angeles and Incheon to New York.
Asiana Airlines began accepting reservations for the international flights at 9 a.m. on the 20th. All remaining 1,870 seats can be purchased exclusively with mileage. Starting from 20 days before the departure date, paid purchases will also be possible for unsold seats.
Mileage tickets for U.S. routes will deduct 35,000 miles for economy class and 62,500 miles for business class during the low season for one-way flights. For some flights, peak season deduction standards will apply, resulting in an additional 50% deduction compared to the low season.
Mileage-dedicated flights will operate on the Los Angeles route in April and May, and on the New York route in June. The super large aircraft A380, with a capacity of 495 seats, will be deployed.
Asiana Airlines noted, "Mileage-dedicated flights are expected to be continually expanded in the second half of the year, and the plan is to provide more mileage seats on regular flights than before."
