This phrase alone excites many SUV enthusiasts. Lexus Korea has finally brought in an electrified flagship SUV. The All-New LX 700h was launched in the domestic market on the 17th.
The All-New LX 700h is a vehicle developed with the concept of being "Effortless and Refined on Any Road." Since its debut as Lexus's first SUV in 1996, it has established itself as a model that combines superior off-road and on-road performance with the luxurious ride that Lexus is known for.
The LX, beloved in over 50 countries worldwide, has finally knocked on the door of the Korean market with its fourth-generation model.
The fourth-generation LX inherits the value of reliability, durability, and off-road driving performance, while introducing a newly developed parallel hybrid system and an improved GA-F platform to realize a more refined Lexus driving signature.
The All-New LX 700h has developed a new parallel hybrid system to realize electrification. A motor generator (MG) with a clutch is placed between the 3.5L V6 twin-turbo engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission to effectively transmit the powerful output and torque of the engine and motor to the surface, while allowing for optimal automatic control of driving using either the engine or motor, depending on the driving conditions.
To implement an electrified model that can go anywhere and return safely, the vehicle is designed with a generator (alternator) and starter, which are not typically equipped in standard hybrid vehicles, ensuring that it can drive in emergencies even when the hybrid system is stopped. Various advanced technologies have been developed, such as applying a new waterproof structure to the hybrid main battery, to secure off-road performance equivalent to engine vehicles (700mm) and provide reliable performance even in extreme environments.
The LX traditionally applies a body-on-frame structure to harmoniously integrate spacious interior space with excellent off-road performance, maintaining a wheelbase of 2,850mm, which is an optimal ratio for the LX. The newly launched All-New LX 700h has applied an improved GA-F platform to enhance the vehicle's fundamental performance, including lower center of gravity, weight reduction, and improved body rigidity. Moreover, the 3-cross member has been redesigned to maintain the same minimum ground clearance as the engine model, while adjusting the location of the spare tire to balance off-road performance and maintenance convenience.
Lexus seeks a unified driving feel known as the Lexus Driving Signature throughout its entire lineup, constantly striving for 'conversational driving' that unites the driver and the vehicle.
The All-New LX 700h has reinforced the rigidity around the radiator support and added patch reinforcement to improve steering responsiveness, while the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) has redesigned the actuator's valve structure to smoothly adjust damping force, even on rough surfaces. This provides more precise and intuitive handling, delivering optimal driving performance and enhanced ride comfort for both on-road and off-road.
Additionally, the All-New LX 700h is equipped with various features that support extreme off-road driving. The Differential Lock function provides optimal driving force even on rough terrain for easy extraction, while the Transfer Range Select function allows for changing the transfer case gear between low and high range to select an optimized driving mode for various driving environments. Particularly, during low-range shifting, the damping force adjustment feature when the vehicle stops at low speed has been enhanced, minimizing unnecessary vehicle movement and ensuring more stable ride comfort off-road.
Furthermore, the Multi Terrain Select (MTS) offers six driving modes to maximize performance across various terrains, while the Active Height Control Suspension (AHC) adjusts the ride height automatically or manually based on driving conditions to enhance off-road performance. Notably, AHC adopts a hydraulic system for exceptional durability and rapid response.
In addition, the Crawl Control function allows for ultra-slow driving on off-road or slippery surfaces using only the steering wheel without accelerator or brake operation, while the Downhill Assist Control (DAC) automatically adjusts the brake pressure of each wheel on downhill slopes to help safely descend at a constant speed without acceleration.

The exterior of the All-New LX 700h is designed based on the design theme of 'dignified sophistication' to inherit the best off-road performance while also projecting a strong presence in urban environments. It faithfully reflects the functional essentials of an SUV while allowing for both elegance and robustness through its dynamic design.
The front features a large frameless spindle grille that symbolizes Lexus and captures the eye. To implement a new spindle grille design optimized for the LX, a floating bar structure has been applied, emphasizing the three-dimensional form while completing a smooth design without a frame. Additionally, the side radiator grille features a large opening and aerodynamic shape to enhance both functionality and style.
The side design forms a strong sense of unity through thick, horizontal body lines that extend from front to back, along with quarter panel designs that narrow from the roof to the rear window. Furthermore, the design flow from the lower rocker panel to the rear tire highlights the SUV's dynamism and sturdiness. The rear applies a straight-line rear combination lamp, inheriting the Lexus SUV family look while emphasizing a crisp rear design and maximizing a modern and simple impression.

The interior of the All-New LX 700h maintains a linear horizontal design to emphasize a spacious openness, ensuring stable balance even on rough roads. Also, the interior, applying the Tazuna concept, offers excellent visibility and intuitive operability, helping the driver maintain focus across various driving environments. The upper part, featuring a two-layer instrument panel, maximizes openness, while the lower part is designed to surround the driver, creating a refined yet secure spatial feel.
The seats of the All-New LX 700h are designed using semi-aniline leather to minimize passenger fatigue even during off-road driving and long-distance travel. Particularly, the first-row seats are equipped with a headrest design and 'refresh seat' option that provides comfortable seating regardless of passengers' height differences, including a massage function for an even more luxurious driving experience.
Moreover, the four-seat VIP grade has been meticulously designed to consider a private sense of space and ultimate comfort, allowing passengers to enjoy a luxurious experience as if they are in a premium lounge. The independent second-row rear seats feature large headrests and refresh seat functions for maximum comfort during long journeys. The right side of the rear seat includes an ottoman feature that realizes a 'gravity-free' position that frees specific body parts from pressure during reclining.
Additionally, upgraded preventive safety features through the Lexus Safety System Plus and the infotainment system, Lexus CONNECT, alongside Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are provided as standard across all trims. A Mark Levinson sound system, equipped with 25 speakers that deliver 360-degree surround sound, is also standard.

The Overtrail grade of the All-New LX 700h features a dedicated black exterior package that enhances its intense and tough appearance. Black paint has been applied to the radiator grille, side mirrors, wheel houses, wheels, and roof rails, emphasizing a solid yet stylish design, while offering unique exterior color 'Moon Desert' and unique interior color 'Monolith' for a differentiated aesthetic.
Furthermore, the Overtrail grade is equipped with specialized features for more powerful off-road driving. In addition to the 'Center Differential Lock' common to the existing three trims, 'Front & Rear Differential Lock' has been added to provide optimal driving force even off-road. It is complemented with 18-inch 6-spoke wheels to achieve a tough design and strong off-road performance.
Lexus Korea is launching the 'Overtrail Project,' which proposes Lexus's unique outdoor lifestyle. This project aims to offer a sustainable outdoor experience based on the coexistence of people, nature, and mobility, along with various programs tailored to meet customer needs from urban picnics to off-roading and camping with the All-New LX 700h and its entire SUV lineup.
