1 TEU refers to the capacity to hold one 20-foot container, and the container ships ordered this time can carry 24,000 containers. The dimensions are 400 meters in length and 61.5 meters in width.

The vessels are equipped with LNG dual-fuel engines, along with various eco-friendly technologies from Hanwha Ocean, including the shaft generator motor system (SGM) and air lubrication system (ALS).

This is the first time Hanwha Ocean has received an order from Evergreen. The company plans to establish a long-term business relationship through this contract, as Evergreen has plans for new shipbuilding orders.

Kim Hee-cheol, CEO of Hanwha Ocean, said, "I thank the shipowners who trusted in Hanwha Ocean's technological capabilities and placed their orders," adding, "We will continue to lead the market for eco-friendly ultra-large container ships based on our differentiated technologies."
