The deep resonance created by Bang & Olufsen's '17 speakers' is a key feature of the Genesis GV60 facelift model. It is a specification that the manufacturer heavily emphasized during the Genesis launch event.
Harman International Korea, which supplies Bang & Olufsen, and Genesis have created an opportunity to experience the acoustic technology of the sound system integrated into the GV60. An exhibition and experience event titled 'GV60 WONDER STUDIO' will be held until March 16th at MM Seongsu in Seongdong District, Seoul.
'GV60 WONDER STUDIO' offers a sound experience space that operates from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, where visitors can experience the special features of the Bang & Olufsen high-resolution sound system adopted in the GV60, accompanied by a docent's explanation. The newly applied Dolby Atmos sound can also be experienced vividly.
The Bang & Olufsen high-resolution sound system, completed through collaboration between sound development engineers from Genesis and Harman, reproduces finely-tuned sound at the highest level through 17 speakers within the vehicle, merging sophisticated luxury and high-tech elements in the interior with advanced acoustic technology and the unique design sense of Bang & Olufsen to provide high-end sound for the drivers and passengers of the Genesis luxury electric vehicle GV60.
The multi-core center speaker positioned on the Chonbang dashboard and the surround speakers located at the rear C-pillars not only provide harmonious sound blending but also offer a stable sense of space through a wide sound stage, and the woofers placed in the doors deliver dynamic and powerful sound.
In particular, the trunk is equipped with OCS, utilizing Harman's high-tech electric vehicle acoustic technology, ECS, which maintains minimal size and weight for the sound system while maximizing rich and dynamic bass performance, providing deep resonance and immersion similar to that of a concert hall. ECS (External Coupled Subwoofer/Speaker) is a speaker system that uses an acoustic coupler to connect air ports inside the vehicle to the outside, reducing the enclosure space necessary for the resonance of subwoofers or woofers.
Furthermore, innovative acoustic technologies such as high-resolution audio certification, active noise control-road (ANC-R), QuantumLogic Surround technology, and an intuitive user interface, Beosonic™, which allows sound adjustments with a single touch, provide the best user experience.
Additionally, the Dolby Atmos sound source has been newly mapped to the speaker configuration of the Bang & Olufsen high-resolution sound system applied to the GV60, allowing for an even more vibrant listening experience.
The Bang & Olufsen sound system is available as an optional feature for the Genesis GV60, as well as the GV70, GV80, GV80 Coupe, G80, and G90.
Harman International Korea is also holding an SNS certification event, giving away Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speakers engraved with the Genesis logo.
