Hyundai Motor said it launched the representative compact truck '2025 Porter II Electric' on the 12th.
Porter II Electric improved practicality and convenience by reflecting the voices of existing customers, including ▲reduced fast charging time ▲enhanced driving range on a single charge ▲improved battery ground clearance ▲and the application of lighting at the charging port.
The fast charging speed of the Porter II Electric has been reduced from 47 minutes to 32 minutes, with a battery capacity increase from 10% to 80%. This improvement in charging speed is the result of increasing the thickness of the high-voltage cable wiring to increase the charging current.
The 60.4 kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery applied to the Porter II Electric has enhanced energy density and adopted new battery cells that are lighter compared to the previous model, securing a driving range of 217 km on a single charge, which is an increase of 6 km.
To alleviate inconveniences caused by low battery ground clearance while driving on unpaved rural roads, the battery ground clearance was raised by 10 mm. Additionally, LED lighting was added to the top of the charging port to enhance visibility during nighttime charging, increasing user convenience.
To minimize the purchase burden due to price and expand customer choice, Hyundai Motor has also established an economic trim called 'Style Special.' After streamlining some specifications, it has set a price about 1.35 million won cheaper compared to the Smart Special trim.
The selling prices of the Porter II Electric by trim are ▲Style Special 43.25 million won ▲Smart Special 44.60 million won ▲Premium Special 46.20 million won.
