HANMI Semiconductor Chairman Kwak Dong-sin reported on the 12th that he has acquired 2 billion won worth of company shares using personal funds. This marks the completion of the company’s share acquisition plan announced last month.
The acquisition price was 89,834 won per share, totaling 2 billion won. As a result, Chairman Kwak has acquired a total of 39.3 billion won worth of company shares since 2023. His equity percentage increased slightly from 33.95% to 33.97%.
Chairman Kwak's acquisition of company shares is interpreted as a decision stemming from confidence in the technology and future growth of HANMI Semiconductor's flagship product, the TC bonder, in the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) equipment market.
HANMI Semiconductor currently holds the top position in the global market for TC bonders used in HBM production. The company noted that more than 90% of the HBM3E 12-layer products supplied to NVIDIA and Broadcom, leaders in the AI semiconductor industry, are produced using HANMI Semiconductor's equipment.
