The keyword that penetrates 2025 is AI agent (an AI service that acts as a secretary performing human tasks).
Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of FortyTwoMaro, noted at the '2025 AI Innovation Seminar' hosted by the AX Bridge Commission under the Korea Venture Business Association on the 11th at the Google Startup Campus event hall in Gangnam, Seoul, that 'while large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT were at the level of understanding human language and generating responses based on that, AI agents must make judgments and take actions on their own, which makes it technically complex.'
The seminar was organized to understand the current state of AI technology and to embark on a journey to find answers amid uncertainty. About 100 representatives from venture companies interested in the introduction and utilization of AI technology attended.
The AX Bridge Commission was established in July 2024 to support the AI transition of venture companies. Lee Ju-wan, CEO of MegaZone Cloud, serves as Chairperson, with Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of FortyTwoMaro, Lim Jae-won, CEO of GoPizza, Lee Se-young, CEO of Ruten Technologies, Kim Tae-soo, CEO of Mobigen, and Kim Tae-jun, CEO of Averchual, among over 20 operating committee members.
Kim stated, 'AI agents are performing corporate tasks such as writing reports, delivering them to relevant departments, and executing actions to derive insights.'
He continued, 'This software change is beginning to combine with hardware,' and forecasted that 'in the short term, industries where AI physically integrates, such as robotics and wearable devices, will grow rapidly.'
Lim Jeong-geun, CEO of the legal AI firm BHN, said, 'While there is a demand for companies to create their own AI, considerable data and expenses are required to train them,' and emphasized the need for personal data and intellectual property protection for the safe development and use of generative AI.
During the AI innovation case presentation session, Yoo Seung-jae, CEO of PersonaAI, Lee Gi-wook, CEO of Hurobotics, and Yoo Su-yeon, CEO of NationAI, each shared their utilization cases of AI technology in areas such as AI agents, AI robots, and AI-based 3D motion, capturing the attendees' interest.
Chairperson Lee stated, 'To accelerate the AI transition and support the creation of substantial results, we will actively engage in discovering and disseminating AX cases, improving AI-related laws and regulations, and expanding the committee's outreach by recruiting participating commissioners.'
