Autonomous A2Z (hereafter A2Z) announced on the 4th that it will showcase the Korean level 4 autonomous vehicle ROii in collaboration with Samsung SDI at 'InterBattery 2025,' which will be held at COEX from March 5 to 7.
At this exhibition, A2Z will participate as a co-marketing partner at the Samsung SDI booth, displaying 4,032 cylindrical batteries of size 2170 (21 mm in diameter and 70 mm in height) and an actual autonomous vehicle that combines the country's top autonomous driving technology. In particular, the exhibition will focus on showcasing how Samsung SDI's next-generation battery technology enhances the safety and performance of autonomous driving systems.
ROii is a Korean level 4 unmanned autonomous vehicle that boasts a domestic production rate of 96%, with all core hardware and autonomous driving software developed using domestic technology. It is designed to operate reliably even in complex urban environments and is developed to maintain high safety levels in unexpected situations using AI-based autonomous driving technology.
A2Z is working on obtaining European battery safety certification (R-100) and domestic battery safety certification (to be implemented in February 2024) using ROii. It also plans to obtain level 4 autonomous driving performance certification starting from March of last year. Level 4 autonomous driving means that the vehicle can drive itself without the intervention of a driver.
Han Ji-hyung, CEO of A2Z, noted, "This exhibition at InterBattery 2025 is an important opportunity to directly experience the innovative future mobility that combines electric vehicles and autonomous driving," and added, "Through the exhibition promotion with Samsung SDI, we will showcase the technological prowess of the Korean level 4 autonomous vehicle ROii and further strengthen our competitiveness in the global autonomous driving market."
