In March, the domestic automobile industry is focusing on increasing sales by strengthening discounts on electric vehicles and other eco-friendly cars.

According to the industry on the 4th, Hyundai Motor will significantly enhance the basic purchase benefits for electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles starting this month. The Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N, and Ioniq 6 will be sold at a discounted price with discounts of 1 million won; the Porter EV will be 2.5 million won; the Kona Electric and GV60 will have a discount of 3 million won; and the Nexo will be sold at a price discounted by 5 million won.

A trade-in program will also be conducted. Consumers who sell their existing vehicles and purchase a new car within 15 days will receive discounts of 500,000 to 1 million won for Hyundai vehicles and 2 million won for Genesis certified used cars. If consumers purchase a new internal combustion or hybrid vehicle from Hyundai, they can receive a discount of 500,000 won, and if they purchase an electric vehicle from Hyundai, they can receive a discount of 1 million won. All Genesis models offer a 2 million won discount.

Kia will offer discounts to young consumers purchasing their first electric vehicle. Consumers aged 19 to 34 who buy the RAY EV, Niro EV, or EV3 as their first electric car will receive a 500,000 won discount. A repurchase benefit has also been arranged. Consumers who have purchased or currently own Kia vehicles will receive discounts of 500,000 won for the K5 and 1 million won for the K8.

An event for the Tasman will also be held. Consumers who contract for a Tasman this month and take delivery by June will receive a purchase benefit for Tasman-exclusive customization products worth 400,000 won. Additionally, a low-interest product with an interest rate of 4.0% has been introduced for Tasman delivery consumers.

KG Mobility has also initiated discounts on electric vehicles. The Korando EV will be discounted up to 4.5 million won depending on the production date, while the Torres EVX (including the van) may be discounted up to 1.37 million won based on display vehicles or certain trims.

Renault Korea has introduced a new installment product with an interest rate reduced by more than 1% compared to last month, now at 3.3% for customers purchasing the Grand Koleos this month (36 months, with a maximum financing amount of 25 million won), and is also offering three free engine oil exchange vouchers. Additionally, for gasoline models, an extra benefit of 500,000 won has been set up for special target vehicles.
