Honda Korea (CEO Lee Ji-hong) officially launched the family minivan '2025 New Odyssey' on the 27th, achieving convenience and safety for the whole family, as well as the joy of mobility.
The Honda Odyssey, which set the standard for family minivans, has been loved globally, selling nearly 3 million units in the North American market since its first launch in 1994, based on the concept of "a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable space for families." Its marketability includes class-leading safety, space utilization, robust driving performance, and various convenience features that enhance the joy of travel.
In January, it was recognized as a true family minivan, receiving the '2025 Best Customer Value Award' in the minivan category from U.S. News & World Report for five consecutive years. The 2025 New Odyssey returns as a refreshed model with modern changes to its interior and exterior design and upgraded convenience features.
The 2025 New Odyssey has been renewed with sporty styling that evokes an SUV.
The front features a new design bumper, front grille, and black grille bar, while the rear highlights a rugged design with a rear bumper, black grille bar, smoky tone tail lamps, and vertical reflectors. Additionally, new 19-inch alloy wheels create a sporty and sleek look that contrasts with the grand side character line.
The interior offers a modern yet comfortable and cozy atmosphere with the application of new brown-black two-tone perforated leather seats. Furthermore, the second-row Magic Slide seats, which can recline, move forwards and backwards, detach, and fold, allow for various seat configurations depending on the number of passengers and use cases.
The instrument panel is equipped with a 7-inch TFT meter that enhances visibility and a 9-inch center display audio that has improved size and performance compared to the previous model. The New Odyssey comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
The rear entertainment system (RES) on the second-row ceiling has been completely upgraded, with the monitor increasing to an industry-leading size of 12.8 inches and supporting Full HD resolution. With the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) feature, customers can freely connect their streaming devices, smartphones, tablets, and headphones, allowing for viewing various OTT content like a smart TV, unlike previous models.
The CabinWatch™ feature allows real-time monitoring of the status of second and third-row passengers through the display screen, while the CabinTalk™ feature transmits the voice of the first-row passenger to the speakers and headphones in the second and third row, facilitating smooth communication between passengers in the vehicle.
The powertrain of the 2025 New Odyssey is equipped with a 3.5L direct-injection i-VTEC engine, delivering a maximum output of 284 horsepower and a maximum torque of 36.2 kg·m, achieving strong driving performance compared to its class. Additionally, it incorporates a variable cylinder management system, which deactivates three cylinders when high output is not needed, such as during cruising or gentle acceleration, and is paired with an electronically controlled 10-speed automatic transmission. Idle stop, ECON mode, and a shutter grille have also been applied to enhance fuel efficiency.
The advanced driver assistance system Honda SENSING includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with enhanced pedestrian detection, a Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), a Lane Departure Warning (LDW) feature within the Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) system, an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system with low-speed follow capability, an Auto High Beam (AHB) system, and a Blind Spot Information (BSI) system.
The 2025 New Odyssey also features the newly equipped Honda Connect, a connected service enabling vehicle remote control, status management, and emergency notifications.
Lee Ji-hong, CEO of Honda Korea, noted, "The Odyssey will be a companion in life that provides a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable space, and will be a choice that can elevate the family lifestyle. I hope you create unforgettable memories with your family and the Odyssey this coming spring."
The price of the 2025 New Odyssey is 62.9 million won (including VAT), applying the special consumption tax reduction benefit, and it will be available in three colors: black, white, and metal.
