Mini Korea will hold a special photo exhibition highlighting brand heritage to celebrate its 20th anniversary from Feb. 28 at the Starbucks Jangchung Lounge R in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.
Through this photo exhibition in collaboration with Starbucks Korea, visitors can view photos capturing impressive moments from Mini Korea's past 20 years, along with outstanding entries selected from the 20th anniversary customer photo contest, and various attractions including exhibition items related to Classic Mini and the new MINI.
This special photo exhibition is characterized by the opportunity to appreciate different works depending on the period. From Feb. 28 to Apr. 30, 76 photographs reflecting various activities and events held since the establishment of Mini Korea will be exhibited, allowing visitors to look back on the past 20 years of Mini Korea.
Starting from May 1, 56 works selected from the January and February Mini Korea 20th anniversary customer photo contest will be displayed. Through photos capturing impressive moments shared between customers and MINI, visitors can feel a sentimental connection to MINI, which has become not just a car but a treasured memory.
The space where the exhibition is held is decorated with MINI's heritage to commemorate the brand's history built together with customers over the past 20 years, harmonizing well with the ambiance of the Starbucks Jangchung Lounge R, which is designed with a concept of time travel to the 1960s.
Additionally, a special emblem created to commemorate Mini Korea's 20th anniversary will be unveiled for the first time at this exhibition.
It is very unusual for overseas branches within the BMW Group to create separate emblems.
The Mini Korea 20th anniversary emblem was designed to commemorate the 20 years spent with domestic customers, utilizing the number 20, Hangul, and the Taegeuk pattern, emphasizing a Korean sensibility.
In particular, effort was made to convey a clear message using the words 'Mini Twenty,' and the linear elements of the font were emphasized to highlight aesthetics. Mini Korea plans to utilize the newly created emblem throughout various venues to promote and commemorate its 20th anniversary.
Various attractions and enjoyable experiences for visiting customers have been arranged. Classic Mini and the new MINI Cooper will be displayed in the entrance area of the exhibition space until Apr. 30. Also, from May 1 to Jun. 30, the all-new electric MINI Cooper and the all-new electric MINI Aceman, scheduled to be released in March, will be exhibited, allowing close inspection of MINI's new vision as it leaps into the electrification era.
Additionally, there will be a chance to explore the Mini lifestyle collection and Starbucks heritage products, as well as a sound room where visitors can experience the driving sound effect of the new electric MINI model, 'Jingle Sound,' and a mini game zone, among other programs that immerse visitors in the essence of the MINI brand.
Mini Korea will hold various customer participation events to celebrate its collaboration with Starbucks Korea. Customers who purchase over 25,000 won, including manufactured beverages at the Starbucks Jangchung Lounge R, will receive a limited edition MINI magnetic card wallet. Until Mar. 2, there will also be an event where customers can engrave their nickname to create their own card wallet. The event may end early if the card wallets run out.
