Kia unveiled the concept model of the EV2, a small sports utility vehicle (SUV) sold overseas, for the first time in the world at the '2025 Kia EV Day' held in Tarragona, Spain, on the 24th (local time).
The concept EV2 is a small model optimized for urban driving, but it has increased space efficiency with features like a front trunk and second-row folding and reclining seats.
The front incorporates a separated vertical star map signature lighting to emphasize a futuristic impression. The side focuses on minimizing passenger discomfort, while the rear expresses a fresh image through finely crafted surface treatment.
The interior of the concept EV2 features the ability to fold down the second-row seats and move the front seats as far back as possible, allowing for versatile use of the front row. Additionally, it is designed to open the front row door while stationary and expand the bench-style front row seats laterally.
Kia plans to launch the production model of the concept EV2 in Europe next year.
The production model of the EV2 will be equipped with several features that have been introduced in higher vehicle classes, including a front trunk, vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, and wireless (OTA) software updates.
