Audi Korea has launched the "The New RS Q8 Performance." It is a high-performance vehicle with a maximum output of 640 horsepower. This car is a facelift model of the high-performance RS variant of the coupe-style large premium SUV Audi Q8, "The New Audi RS Q8."
Audi Korea (President Steve Clough) will begin selling Audi's ultra-high-performance flagship SUV, "The New Audi RS Q8 Performance," from Feb. 27.
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance" is a high-performance RS model developed by Audi Sport GmbH, based on the top model "The New Audi Q8" from Audi's SUV lineup, the "Q Series."
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance" is a facelift model that achieved a lap time of 7' 36" 698 at the Nürburgring Green Hell in the summer of 2024, earning the title of the "fastest production SUV" and is the most powerful SUV model in Audi's history. With ample space and various functions for the driver, the elegant and emotional design of the luxury coupe harmonizes with powerful performance to provide a differentiated luxury experience. It features a newly applied air intake and modern grille design, a hexagonal frameless single frame, a matte carbon package, and 23-inch 5-Y spoke matte contrasting black wheels.
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance" features a more powerful V8 4.0L TFSI twin-turbo gasoline direct injection engine and an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission, boasting a maximum output increased by 40 horsepower to 640 horsepower compared to the base model, and maximum torque of 86.68 kg.m, delivering powerful and dynamic driving performance. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h (governed speed), and fuel efficiency is 6.5 km/l (urban driving 5.8 km/l, highway driving 7.7 km/l). Additionally, in combination with Audi's all-wheel-drive system Quattro, it offers dynamic driving unique to Audi with agility and stability.
Moreover, it is equipped with a damped adaptive air suspension sports that makes driving comfortable and easy on both the racetrack and off-road. The RS-specific dampers sharply differ between settings focused on comfort and extreme sporty settings, allowing for a ground clearance adjustment of up to 90 mm according to driving conditions and driver preferences.
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance"'s exterior reflects Audi's latest design language and technology. Applying a matte carbon package to the single frame, side mirror, front lip, rear diffuser line, and taillight garnish completes the intense impression unique to RS models. Additionally, the new design air intake and logo, modern grille design, hexagonal frameless single frame, and large red calipers with the RS ceramic brake system combine to boast a dynamic and robust exterior.
Additionally, the "HD Matrix LED headlights" include laser headlights, and both front and rear have dynamic turn signals and a digital light signature, enhancing elegance. The "high beam assist" allows for free adjustments of light brightness, providing excellent visibility. Furthermore, features such as acoustic glass, climate glass, headlight washers, panoramic sunroof, and RS roof edge spoilers come as standard.
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance"'s interior offers a more luxurious atmosphere with a wide use of Dinamica and Alcantara. It features met carbon twill inlays, aluminum pedals, black headlining (Dinamica), and sports plus seats in Valcona leather with red stitching and perforation, as well as black seatbelts with red edges for added accent. The dashboard upper, door armrests, and shoulders are outfitted with a Napa leather package, while the shift lever, steering wheel, center console sides, and door panels feature an Alcantara/Dinamica package, capturing Audi's refined design sensibility. Additionally, a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel with haptic feedback, aluminum buttons, shift paddles, heating functions, an electrically adjustable steering column, and front seats with electric, memory, ventilation, and massage features, along with heated front and rear seats and rear folding seats, provide ample additional cargo space.
"The New Audi RS Q8 Performance" supports convenient and safe driving through various driver assistance systems and infotainment features. It assists safe parking with features such as "Park Assist Plus" and "Parking System Plus," along with "Surround View Display" and "360° Camera." It also includes advanced safety systems such as "Pre-Sense 360°," "Head-Up Display," and "Adaptive Cruise Assist." The dual touchscreen with haptic feedback of "MMI Navigation Plus and MMI Touch Response" and "Virtual Cockpit Plus" help the driver control all vehicle information integratively and intuitively, while the "Audi Smartphone Interface" allows easy use of smartphone content. Moreover, the "Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System" (23-channel Beo Core amplifier, 23 speakers, 1,920 watts), wireless charging, Audi Connect, and front/rear USB ports enhance the enjoyment of the driving experience.
Additionally, features such as a glare-proof rearview mirror, 4-zone automatic air conditioning, a premium air package (ionizer), and a smoker package help keep the vehicle's interior comfortable, while standard equipment includes an electric trunk (closing and kick motion opening), electric side mirrors (with folding, heating, glare-proofing, and memory functions), soft door closing, electric luggage cover, power window shades for rear seats, and a manual sunshade for the rear window.
