The Korea Venture Business Association announced on the 19th that it has recommended Song Byeong-jun, the chairman of the board at Com2uS, as the next president of the association during its first regular board meeting for 2025.
The next president will be finalized at the 30th regular general meeting on the 28th. The term is two years.
Currently the vice president of the Korea Venture Business Association, Chairman Song received unanimous support from the presidential recommendation committee, composed of the previous chairpersons, on the 13th, and was officially nominated as the sole candidate for the 12th president at this regular board meeting.
After graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in electrical engineering, Chairman Song founded Gamevil (now Com2uS Holdings) and currently serves as the chairman of the boards at Com2uS Holdings, Com2uS, and WYSIWYG STUDIOS.
It is the first time a representative from the gaming industry has assumed the presidency of the Korea Venture Business Association, established in 1995. Chairman Song is recognized as a key figure in leading the domestic mobile game industry, having served as the first president of the Korea Mobile Game Industry Association.
