Cheil Worldwide announced on the 18th that it has launched the YouTube channel "Positive King Kim Ddang-Kong" and the stray dog matching service "DOG(g)le."
"DOG(g)le" is a portmanteau of the word "Dog" and "doppelgänger," which refers to a person who resembles someone else closely. The name reflects the service's feature of matching stray dogs with similar appearances and personalities by analyzing the characteristics of individuals in photos using AI.
This campaign, which runs until the end of March, collaborates with the stray dog character "Positive King Kim Ddang-Kong" to raise awareness about stray dogs. Kim Ddang-Kong is a stray dog character newly created last year by producer Lee Seul-Yeon, who also created "Pengsoo," and currently has 50,000 subscribers on its YouTube channel.
By uploading their own photos on the "DOG(g)le" website, users will be matched with one of more than 130 stray dogs currently under the care of the animal protection group "Korean Dogs" through AI analysis. The matching results will provide the stray dog's name, age, characteristics, and reasons for the match. If participants share the match result screen on their social media, 100 won will be donated as support for stray dogs for each share.
A representative from Cheil Worldwide said, "The campaign was planned based on research results indicating that people tend to choose dogs that resemble themselves in appearance and personality."
According to Cheil Worldwide, the number of participants in the campaign so far has reached approximately 20,000.
