HD Hyundai Oilbank announced on the 11th that it has collaborated with the global big data corporation Palantir to establish a customized process safety management learning platform called 'PSM (Process Safety Management) Skill-Up Chatbot' to enhance the knowledge level of its employees regarding process safety management and to create a safe operational environment.
This chatbot was developed by the BAO team, which is dedicated to big data at HD Hyundai Oilbank, based on the AI large language model (LLM) platform provided by Palantir, incorporating process safety management regulations and internal data.
The PSM Skill-Up Chatbot of HD Hyundai Oilbank supports effective learning in process safety management. It also provides customized questions regarding safe operation guidelines, equipment inspection, testing and maintenance, and emergency action plans, based on the user's position, affiliated department, and responsibilities, and utilizes AI technology to provide real-time evaluations and model answers for the user's inputted responses.
The chatbot is noted to increase employee interest and participation in what can sometimes be a tedious process safety management training, providing learning and mock interview assessments without the constraints of time and space, receiving positive feedback from employees.
In fact, HD Hyundai Oilbank received the highest rating of 'P grade' for all processes in the process safety management implementation status assessment conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor last November, the only domestic refinery to do so.
An official from HD Hyundai Oilbank stated, "The establishment of this learning platform is significant in that it has created a safe factory operating environment using AI technology," adding, "We will continue to expand the use of AI technology for safe and efficient process operations."
