Korean Air announced on the 10th that it received the '2025 Airline of the Year' award selected by the Australian aviation and travel media 'Airline Ratings.'
Additionally, it was ranked 8th in both the 'World's Best Economy Class' and 'Top 25 Safest Airlines' institutional sectors.
Airline Ratings conducted a comprehensive evaluation of safety ratings, passenger reviews, aircraft age, revenue, class seating evaluations, and major incidents involving over 350 airlines worldwide.
Korean Air explained that it received the award due to its spacious economy class seating compared to other airlines.
The Boeing B787-10 next-generation aircraft, introduced in July of last year, was also positively evaluated for its ability to recline the seat backs up to 120 degrees and improve monitor size and resolution.
Additionally, introducing medium and large aircraft such as the B787-10 and Airbus A350-900 since last year has positively impacted operational safety.
Moreover, its strong financial stability and solid performance led to a successful corporate merger with Asiana Airlines, along with initiatives to take the lead in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management in line with global decarbonization efforts.
