Hyundai Rotem announced on the 6th that last year's performance was provisionally tallied at 4.3766 trillion won in sales and 456.6 billion won in operating profit. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 22%, and operating profit rose by 117.4%. This marks the first time Hyundai Rotem's annual sales exceeded 4 trillion won.
The fourth quarter performance last year recorded revenue of 1.4408 trillion won and operating profit of 161.7 billion won, reflecting increases of 45.7% and 131.7%, respectively, compared to the same period the previous year.
The expansion of the Defense Solution (institutional sector) contributed to the performance. Since the third quarter of last year, Hyundai Rotem has seen the quarterly revenue share of its Defense Solution institutional sector exceed 50%. This is the first time in the company's history.
Hyundai Rotem has been continuing a second contract for 180 units of the K2 tank with Poland. Romania and Armenia are also showing interest in introducing the K2 tank.
