Doosan Robotics announced on the 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the robot system integration (SI) company 'VRNJ' located in Bangkok, Thailand, to supply 300 collaborative robots.
Under this MOU, Doosan Robotics has agreed to supply 300 units of its four types of collaborative robot models (A, H, M, P series) to VRNJ over two years, with 60 units already ordered. The two companies will collaborate to develop various solutions to be applied in production sites and explore demand sources in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The M series is a collaborative robot equipped with torque sensors (force sensors) on all six rotational axes, allowing for rapid braking even under external impacts. The H series has a load capacity of 25 kg and can stably handle heavy objects while weighing only 75 kg, which is half that of competitors' products. The P series specializes in aligning or loading items onto pallets during logistics and transportation processes.
Doosan Robotics plans to supply manufacturing solutions to the Southeast Asian region in collaboration with VRNJ. Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, noted, "The Southeast Asian region is emerging as the second production base after China, with an increasing trend of new factories, and there is significant demand to implement collaborative robots considering productivity enhancement and worker safety at the stage of establishing factories."
