The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) announced on the 5th that James Kim, the chairman of AMCHAM, has been appointed as an executive committee member of the '2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Summit' organizing committee.
The '2025 APEC CEO Summit,' scheduled to be held in Gyeongju in October this year, is an international event where global business leaders, policymakers, and experts gather to discuss key economic and regional issues. Choi Tae-won, chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Park Il-jun, vice chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, serve as the event's organizing chair and executive commissioner, respectively.
Chairman James Kim noted, 'The 2025 APEC CEO Summit will serve as a platform to showcase the resilience and strategic value of South Korea within the global supply chain,' and said, 'I will do my best for the success of APEC 2025.'
AMCHAM stated that it plans to establish an APEC 2025 committee consisting of senior executives from major U.S. corporations to support the successful hosting of the event and to carry out various activities.
