LG Energy Solution announced on the 22nd that it has been ranked first in the battery industry (Battery Manufacturing) and 12th overall in the '2025 Global Sustainability Management 100 Companies' released by the Canadian investment advisory and economic media group Corporate Knights.
Corporate Knights evaluates the sustainability management performance of corporations with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion (approximately 1.4 trillion won) each year and publishes a list of the top 100 corporations that score the highest at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. This year, 8,359 corporations were assessed based on 25 key performance indicators (KPIs) including sustainable revenue, sustainable investment, resource and human resource management, financial performance, and supply chain management.
LG Energy Solution received full marks in the sustainable revenue and sustainable investment sectors. It is also reported to have received high evaluations for its management performance based on carbon neutrality goals, such as energy efficiency in battery production processes and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the transition to renewable energy.
Kim Dong-myung, president of LG Energy Solution, noted, "This achievement is an important indicator demonstrating our efforts toward sustainability and leadership in the ESG sector," adding that the company will do its utmost to realize customer value and build a sustainable battery ecosystem based on its goal of leading the future of the green energy era.
