SNT Motiv announced on the 21st that it has been selected as the supplier of hairpin drive modules for electric vehicles for Hyundai Transys.
SNT Motiv plans to supply approximately 1.28 million hairpin drive modules for electric vehicles to Hyundai Transys over a 10-year period from 2027 to 2036.
The hairpin motor is a high-efficiency motor used in electric and hybrid vehicles, capable of enhancing vehicle performance by improving motor efficiency based on high power density, increasing output, or reducing size and weight.
An official from SNT Motiv said, "This selection as a supplier is a result of SNT Motiv's manufacturing technology for electric vehicle drive motors and recognition of its experience in developing hairpin motors," adding, "Through continuous investment in core technologies for electric vehicle motors accumulated over a long period, we will further enhance our global competitiveness in the eco-friendly mobility market and secure our growth potential."
