Seoul National University's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences announced on the 20th that it will hold recruitment for the 8th class of the 'Seoul National University Food Tech Chief Officer Course (FTCXO).
This program, which started in 2021, has positioned itself as a network of innovators in the food tech field, operating in cooperation with the Korea Food Tech Association with the goal of leading the global food tech industry.
It provides top-level education for academics, industry professionals, and those interested in food tech commercialization. Even for those not directly related to food tech, it targets experts from all related fields.
To date, it has produced over 250 innovators through six classes, and in February, 40 additional students from the 7th class are expected to graduate.
The 8th class will feature a curriculum focused on the latest trends in the food tech industry and commercialization experiences. In particular, experts with startup and commercialization experience from the faculty of Seoul National University will be invited as instructors to provide practical and in-depth education.
Seoul National University emphasized that the alumni network produced through FTCXO is leading the continuous growth of the food tech sector. In February, the 'Seoul National University Food Tech Chief Officer Course Alumni Association' was officially launched, supporting ongoing networking among graduates and the development of the food tech ecosystem.
Aside from FTCXO, the Food Tech Center of Seoul National University operates various educational programs, including the 'Food Tech Contract Department' (master's program) and 'Food Tech Commercialization Education' (short-term education). Through this, it offers differentiated food tech education content based on target audiences.
Applications for the 8th class can be submitted through the official website until February 10. There are also benefits for members of the Korea Food Tech Association, including a partial discount on tuition fees.
