HD Hyundai Construction Equipment signed a large-scale construction equipment supply contract with the Philippines, marking the beginning of its global orders for this year.
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment recently noted that it successfully bid for the medium-sized excavator order issued by the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Philippines on the 19th. The total volume is 122 units, including 48 units of 21-ton excavators and 74 units of 22-ton excavators, which accounts for 36% of the total volume sold by HD Hyundai Construction Equipment in the Philippines last year. The equipment will be supplied to the Department of Public Works and Highways from this month until March.
The equipment will be utilized in flood control projects being conducted in the Labangan River in Mindoro Island, central Philippines. Mindoro Island is a region that frequently experiences flooding and river overflow issues. The Philippine government is working on infrastructure development, including constructing levees, river maintenance, and expanding drainage facilities.
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has established sales offices on major islands, considering the geographical characteristics of the Philippines, which is an archipelagic country. It has also set up a parts supply center in neighboring Indonesia to build a stable logistics supply chain. Based on this, the company plans to actively target investment development projects and infrastructure and resource development demands from Southeast Asian countries after the Philippine general elections in May.
