SNT Energy announced that its 100% subsidiary, SNT Gulf, held an inauguration ceremony for the second expansion of its production plant on the 17th.
On the 16th (local time), more than 120 key officials from Saudi Arabia's state oil company Aramco and power construction companies attended the ceremony held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
With this plant expansion, SNT Gulf's production capacity has tripled compared to its establishment in 2012. Based on this, SNT Gulf plans to expand the production of major power facilities, including air coolers, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and condensers, which are key components of nuclear power plants, thereby further extending its business contracts and local export systems in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
SNT Gulf is the overseas subsidiary that SNT Energy established in Saudi Arabia in 2012, becoming the first South Korean petrochemical and power plant equipment company to do so. Actively seeking to penetrate the petrochemical power market in the Middle East, it signed a strategic long-term procurement agreement (CPA) with Aramco in November 2022.
A representative from SNT Energy said, "Through this plant expansion, not only the production of air coolers for Aramco but also the production of major power facilities like the heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) announced by the Minister of Energy in Saudi Arabia has become possible," and noted, "We will expand our success in securing new projects for nuclear and combined cycle power plants in the Middle East through the registration of HRSG as items for the local procurement agency (LCGPA) strategy purchase.
