MNC Solution, a specialized motion control company for defense, announced on the 17th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with LIG Nex1 to develop future maritime weapon systems.
The two companies will develop a mine detection sonar (VDS) and a combined influence mine sweeping device (CIS) to be mounted on naval minesweepers through the agreement. The mine detection sonar is equipment that emits acoustic waves from the vessel to detect underwater mines, enabling precise detection at various depths. The combined influence mine sweeping device (CIS) is equipment that utilizes magnetic and acoustic signals to neutralize or remove influence mines, significantly enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Through the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the two companies plan to combine their core technological capabilities and know-how to develop equipment and strengthen their competitive edge in both domestic and international markets.
