Creek and River Entertainment announced on the 15th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the global voice content corporations Dubidub to achieve new innovations in the webtoon and content market.
The agreement aims to combine Dubidub's unique technological capabilities with Creek and River Entertainment's expertise in content production and distribution, introducing new concepts such as voice-toons that can be enjoyed through sound and interactive webtoons where readers participate in the story to the markets in South Korea and Japan.
Kim Min-cheol, CEO of Creek and River Korea, noted, "Through our collaboration with Dubidub, we aim to establish a new paradigm for webtoon content and provide unique and innovative user experiences in the global content market connecting Korea and Japan."
Ahn Seong-jin, CEO of Dubidub, expressed hope, saying, "This agreement will be an important opportunity to combine the strengths of both companies to provide consumers with differentiated storytelling experiences, and webtoons integrated with Dubidub's voice technology will offer new options for global consumers seeking immersive content."
With this agreement, Creek and River Entertainment plans to actively promote convergence projects between broadcasting content and webtoons and to expand its business into the Japanese market in the future.
Creek and River Entertainment is the Korean subsidiary of the global creator agency Creek and River, which has a pool of approximately 390,000 experts and a network of 50,000 corporations in Japan.
