Samsung SDI announced on the 10th that it showcased innovative battery products and technologies at the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, 'CES 2025', held in Las Vegas, United States, from the 7th to the 9th (local time).
Samsung SDI organized a customer invitation exhibition at the Wynn hotel located in downtown Las Vegas and displayed a wide range of the latest products, including cylindrical batteries, prismatic batteries for electric vehicles, and the power energy storage solution (ESS) product SBB 1.5.
In the exhibition hall, representative battery-related products that received the 'CES Innovation Award' ahead of the event were unveiled, along with solid-state battery technology that has garnered significant attention in the industry. Notably, a high-density, long-life prismatic battery for electric vehicles (PRiMX680-EV), which combines safety and performance by applying innovative design and process technology, and an electric vehicle battery module (PRiMX680 Module+) that enhances production efficiency and quality by simplifying its structure through wireless communication technology, caught the attention of industry officials invited to the event.
Samsung SDI also showcased a cylindrical battery (PRiMX50U-Power) featuring high output and fast charging technology, as well as a solid-state battery that achieves the highest energy density in the industry through its unique acoustic-free technology. Since the end of 2023, Samsung SDI has been supplying samples to client companies, with plans to commercialize by 2027 proceeding as scheduled.
Samsung SDI set the theme for this 'CES 2025' exhibition as 'Powering a Sustainable Future with Super Gap Technologies' and focused on showcasing its innovative technological capabilities.
A Samsung SDI official noted, "We showcased our efforts and determination to realize a sustainable future based on our super gap technological prowess," adding, "We received positive feedback from clients who directly experienced our best battery technology and quality."
