The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 1st that they will operate an integrated Korean pavilion at the 'CES 2025 (Consumer Electronics Show)', which will be held from the 7th to the 10th of this month (local time) in Las Vegas, USA.
CES is the largest IT and consumer electronics exhibition in the world, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA will form the largest integrated Korean pavilion in history, with 445 participating corporations. Considering that this year, approximately 900 corporations, including global giants such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai, SK, and 445 corporations in the integrated Korean pavilion along with other medium and small enterprises, are expected to participate, about half will join as 'Export One Team Korea.'
A total of 36 institutions, including KOTRA, will participate in the integrated Korean pavilion, with 308 corporations in Eureka Park (Innovation Exhibition Hall) and 137 corporations in the Global Pavilion (National Exhibition Hall), totaling 445 domestic corporations. The main exhibition sectors of the integrated Korean pavilion are home appliances (18%), digital health (17%), artificial intelligence (16%), and smart home (12%).
Ahead of the exhibition opening, KOTRA will hold a 'Local Expert Invitation Seminar' on January 6 to provide participating corporations with the latest information. This seminar will feature speakers such as the head of the industrial analysis team from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which hosts CES, and a managing director from Morgan Stanley, who will present vivid information on the outlook for the U.S. consumer electronics market, startup trends, and ways to attract financial investment.
According to CTA, more than 300 of the Global Fortune 500 corporations have registered for CES 2025.
Additionally, on the 8th of this month, KOTRA will collaborate with the U.S. local accelerator startup Startup-Junkie to hold a pitching event for our innovative corporations called the 'K-Innovation Pitching Challenge.' Twenty innovative corporations, pre-matched with the technology needs of global companies (Open Innovation), will take the stage and pitch to major U.S. global companies such as Walmart and IBM.
Minister An Duk-geun noted, 'Amid challenging domestic political circumstances, forming the largest integrated Korean pavilion in history for two consecutive years at a global exhibition like CES demonstrates the resilience of Export One Team Korea that becomes stronger in times of crisis,' and added, 'We will continue to strive to maintain our international credibility and export momentum.'
KOTRA President Kang Kyung-sung said, 'CES 2025, the world's largest consumer electronics exhibition, is not only a good opportunity to discover business opportunities but also to confirm the latest technology trends,' and stated, 'KOTRA will actively support the outcomes of innovations discovered at CES to actually lead to exports.'
