Kim Yi-bae, the representative of Jeju Air, urged employees in an internal notice on the 31st to "overcome this challenge together." This is the first time Kim has sent a message to the members since the tragedy at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do on the 29th.

In the notice, Kim said, "Dear employees, something has occurred that should not happen at an airline, and it just cannot be accepted." He added, "First of all, I pray for the souls of the passengers and crew members who have passed away."

He continued, "I have a deep sense of apology for the bereaved families who are engulfed in an indescribable sorrow and shock," and noted, "Our employees are also deeply shocked, and it is regrettable that everything is in a difficult situation."

Kim advised, "First, let’s gather our thoughts and act thoughtfully," and emphasized, "Let’s consider the priorities of our work and execute them."

He added, "Rather than distinguishing right from wrong, let’s understand each other and join hands," emphasizing, "We can do it, and we must do what we need to for those who have been harmed, for our customers, and for ourselves."

On the morning of the same day, Kim visited Muan International Airport to apologize to the bereaved families. He said, "I stand here with a heart of apology. What can I say? I am very sorry," bowing his head.
