Daedong, a agricultural machinery company, announced on the 26th that it will participate in the world's largest IT and consumer electronics show 'CES 2025' to be held from July 7 to 10 (local time) at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in the United States, showcasing artificial intelligence (AI) agricultural technology. Chairman Kim Jun-sik and Vice Chairman Won Yu-hyun will also visit the site to observe future technology trends.

At this CES 2025 exhibition booth, Daedong will showcase advanced AI-based ▲ multifunctional agricultural robots ▲ AI plant cultivators ▲ precision agriculture.

The multifunctional agricultural robot, which is being unveiled for the first time at CES 2025, will demonstrate how the AI software embedded in the robot understands voice instructions from humans, recognizes the surrounding environment, and independently judges and performs various tasks based on strawberry cultivation operations.

The AI plant cultivator, which received an innovation award at CES 2025, recognizes the variety through a camera with embedded AI software once seed capsules are placed in the cultivator and automatically controls the environment, such as temperature and humidity, illumination, and nutrient solution, according to the growth conditions of the plants. It will also introduce 22 varieties of general crops and functional crops, including sweet potatoes, for which supply is being reviewed.

Visitors will also be able to experience the future of agriculture where AI cultivates crops autonomously. This is a product of precision agriculture that Daedong has researched for four years. Precision agriculture is a service that maximizes production by analyzing the growth conditions of crops, soil, pests and diseases in real-time using various technologies, and providing solutions such as fertilizers, water, and labor. Visitors will receive guidance on various tasks through the display inside the tractor and can choose whether or not to perform them.

Won Yu-hyun, CEO of Daedong (Vice Chairman), said, "We will introduce AI-based future agricultural technology developed over many years to the global market, to be recognized for its value and competitiveness, and firmly establish ourselves as a global AI agricultural corporation," and added, "Starting next year, we will fully supply precision agriculture and other future agricultural technologies to the domestic market and prepare for expansion into overseas markets."
