Ryu Jin, chairman of Poongsan Group and president of the Korean Federation of Entrepreneurs, has been invited to the inauguration of Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, next month.

The Korean Federation of Entrepreneurs noted that Chairman Ryu has received an invitation to the inauguration of President-elect Trump scheduled for Jan. 20 next year and is currently reviewing his attendance.

Chairman Ryu is regarded as a prominent figure in the domestic business community known for his connections to the United States, especially with Republicans, including former President George W. Bush. He has received the Van Fleet Award from the Korea Society, and since 2020, he has also served as a director for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Prior to Chairman Ryu, Woo Oh-hyun, chairman of SM Group, was also invited to the inauguration of President-elect Trump on the recommendation of the ROK-US Alliance Friendship Association. Recently, Chung Yong-jin, chairman of Shinsegae Group, who visited Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, to meet President-elect Trump at the invitation of Trump Jr., expressed his willingness to attend the inauguration if requested by the government.
