Hyosung Ventures announced on the 20th that it has established the 'Startup Korea Hyosung Deep Tech Venture Investment Fund' in collaboration with Korea Venture Investment. The fund focuses on investing in cutting-edge technology.
The fund was created with a total size of 1 billion won, led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with Hyosung contributing 700 million won and Korea Venture Investment's Mother Fund providing 300 million won. It aims to discover promising startups in the fields of bio-health, eco-friendly energy, future mobility, robotics, cybersecurity, system semiconductors, big data and AI, aerospace and marine, next-generation nuclear power, and quantum technology. The fund will also invest in the 'Ultra-gap Startup 1000+ Project' corporations selected by the government.
Hyosung Ventures said, "We will discover corporations based on Hyosung's rich business experience and network, maximizing their potential value."
Hyosung Ventures is also managing the 'Hyosung CBC Scale-Up New Technology Business Investment Fund No. 1,' created in collaboration with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) in March of last year, with a scale of 510 million won.
