“Now is the era of data analysis. However, corporations must invest a lot of time and expense to analyze data. By utilizing 'StatUp AI,' they can easily and quickly analyze meaningful data to make decisions for corporate growth.”
Elixir is a startup that develops and services automated data analysis solutions. Chief Executive Officer Jang Jeong-gwon founded the company in May 2022. A former researcher at Seoul Asan Medical Center, Jang is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in engineering while leading Elixir.
Elixir's core service is the AI-based automated data analysis solution 'StatUp AI.' It showcased its beta version last August and plans to launch the official service this December. Jang noted, “We have developed a four-stage automated data analysis module that integrates quantum machine learning technology and classical computing technology for data preprocessing, statistical analysis, result visualization, and diagnostic modeling, and we are on the verge of commercialization.”
The strength of StatUp AI lies in its ability to quickly derive high-quality data analysis results without requiring specialized personnel. Currently, universities, research institutions, and corporations are analyzing various data for research outcomes or business growth. However, there are limitations due to the significant time and expense involved.
Jang noted the market's limitations. He stated, “Current data analysis tasks are typically conducted by personnel without separate solutions, taking a lot of time,” and added, “StatUp AI allows even beginners without specialized knowledge to obtain results comparable to those analyzed by experts in just three minutes.”
The reasonable service pricing is also a strength of StatUp AI. The service will be launched as a subscription model ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 won per month.
During the beta service period, StatUp AI focused on medical and public data analysis. To enhance accuracy in analyzing medical and scientific data, it collaborated with Korea University and Seoul Asan Medical Center. In fact, Korea University, Kyunghee University, and Seoul Asan Medical Center are currently using StatUp AI.
Recently, Seoul Asan Medical Center used StatUp AI to analyze clinical data and discovered a new diagnostic biomarker for dental diseases. A research paper containing these findings was published in an international journal indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI), and Seoul Asan Medical Center has applied for an international patent (PCT) for the technology.
Jang plans to expand customers beyond universities and medical institutions to general corporations through the official service of StatUp AI. He stated, “We will provide a data analysis solution that can drive corporate growth by analyzing various information related to corporations' products and customers to identify factors contributing to revenue growth.”
Earlier, Elixir also launched the edutech platform 'Gongziphap' based on automated data analysis solutions in August. This service helps customers learn more efficiently based on educational data. The company is currently enhancing AI learning technology and plans to release a new version in February next year.
Elixir is also planning to expand overseas. Jang noted, “We plan to expand our global customer base through networking and localization strategies in advanced quantum computing countries such as the United States and Canada,” and added, “We will secure leadership in the global big data market based on continuous technological innovation.”
Meanwhile, Elixir is a resident company belonging to Dongguk University Campus Town, receiving support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Dongguk University Campus Town. The Dongguk University Campus Town business team selects promising startups as resident companies and plans and promotes various startup and incubation programs, providing entrepreneurial support spaces, practical training, enhancement of startup items, and ongoing expert consultation in specific business fields.
