The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that the December Together Festival, which began on the 1st and runs from December 1 to 28, recorded direct sales of 307.6 billion won through online and offline channels over the 15 days.
Specifically, sales of 275.3 billion won were generated through online channels such as online exhibitions and TV home shopping, while offline sales, including regional sales events with special opening events, totaled 32.3 billion won, resulting in a combined sales of 307.6 billion won. The sales of Onnuri gift certificates at 114.4 billion won and local love gift certificates at 4.6 billion won indirectly contributed to the revenue.
The December Together Festival, held for the last time this year, is an event that spreads warmth and practices sharing through products from small business owners.
Various regional sales events, both large and small, are being held across the country.
During the special opening event held from the 6th to the 8th at the Hongdae Walking Street shopping area, approximately 24,000 visitors attended over the three days. A participating company in the Together Festival, Wind Scarf (functional socks), noted, "Product exposure was significantly increased through the online exhibition and offline events during the festival period, leading to a 20% increase in sales compared to usual."
Hojung Food (traditional snacks), which participated in the Together Festival's dedicated event, said, "Sales during the period (December 1 to 11) increased by 700% compared to the same period last year due to the promotions on 11th Street, which was a great help."
