Innocean announced on the 17th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) with the global art content platform JOOPITER to promote new business and joint projects.
The signing ceremony, held at JOOPITER's headquarters located on Broadway in New York City, was attended by Innocean CEO Lee Yong-woo, JOOPITER Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Auerbach, and key executives from both companies, who promised strategic business collaboration regarding the promotion of new businesses and projects in the Asian market.
Founded in 2022 by global musician and designer Pharrel Williams, JOOPITER is a global art content platform that conducts online auctions featuring valuable collectibles from influential figures in various fields, including art, design, culture, and entertainment.
Through this MOU signing, Innocean plans to discover new brand expansion opportunities in the Asian market with JOOPITER and implement joint marketing businesses utilizing JOOPITER's diverse global network.
An Innocean official noted, 'Brand collaboration, digital content development, and even the retail sector are also areas of collaboration,' and emphasized, 'We will seek new opportunities in Asia, including Japan, China, and Thailand, by cooperating with JOOPITER, which is expanding beyond the auction platform.'
Innocean participated as a partner sponsor for JOOPITER's first online auction project in Korea, 'Nothing But a "G"-Thang: The Art & Archive of G-Dragon,' held at Daelim Museum last September, laying the foundation for JOOPITER's entry into the Korean market.
Innocean CEO Lee Yong-woo said, 'The combination of JOOPITER's global network capabilities and Innocean's creative capabilities will create a unique synergy,' adding, 'Please look forward to new challenges from both companies in the future.'
