The Platform SME Research Center at Kookmin University, which helps the growth of Digital-Small and Medium Enterprises (D-SME), announced on the 13th that it has successfully concluded the 'D-SME Advanced Course 4th Session.' The advanced course was held for 11 weeks from September for digital business owners.
The Digital-Small and Medium Enterprise, as defined by the research center, refers to business owners who conduct business activities based on digital platforms and includes 'online sellers.' The research center estimates that there are approximately 1.7 million digital business owners in the country.
The advanced course was designed to provide a curriculum beneficial for corporate management, covering platform economy and market trends, business strategies, and leadership, enabling online entrepreneurs to acquire expertise as platform corporations and expand their business outreach.
Thirty online sellers who conduct business activities based on platforms have completed this 'Advanced Course' 4th Session. Notable graduates include the popular café 'Coffee Han Pharmacy' in Euljiro, 'Harini's Jjukkumi,' which sells squid milky kits, the lifestyle product manufacturing and sales corporation 'Gibone,' and the hand-lettering brand 'Embroidery the Letters.' To date, the program has produced a total of 120 graduates, including the CEOs of d’Alba, MimiBox, and SINCETHEN.
The research center supports 'Monthly D-SME Training' business practical lectures, alumni programs (homecoming days), and business owner communities for graduates.
Meanwhile, the research center is planning a promotion called 'D-SME Advanced Course X NARANI Store' in collaboration with Naver until the 12th of next month for graduates of the advanced course. About 70 types of products will be introduced, including Gyeongseong Yakgwa, low-water curry, elderly walking aids, upcycling key rings, and eco-friendly toothbrushes.
