iDoc Glasses announced on the 10th that it is recruiting a trial group for myopia control glasses for children and adolescents.

Recruitment for the trial group will be conducted over three months, from December to February next year. A total of six participants will be selected, with two chosen each month. Eligibility for the trial group includes children and adolescents aged 5 to 15, who have myopia or astigmatism, with a prescription of -12D or less.

Participants selected for the trial group will be able to experience high-quality glasses equipped with the latest technology. Additionally, the first-place winner will receive iMetrics eyeglass frames worth 500,000 won and Essilor myopia control lenses. The second-place winner will receive Bragi 3D printed eyeglass frames (320,000 won) and Essilor myopia control lenses (520,000 won).

iMetrics glasses are designed with a special structure for nose pads that prevents slipping, making them suitable for myopia control lenses, according to iDoc Glasses. Furthermore, Bragi 3D printed glasses are tailored to fit the individual's facial shape, offering a stable and customized wearing experience. Essilor's myopia control lens, Stelist, is a special lens capable of reducing myopia in children by up to 75%.

A representative from iDoc Glasses said, “We hope that through this trial group, children and adolescents can experience the latest myopia control glasses and raise awareness about eye health.”
